Here it is! The Differentiated Bible Study Choice Board!
I am a teacher, and I know my students all learn differently and process things in their own way. In education, we differentiate to meet learner needs. Just like school subjects, not everyone was made to approach studying the Bible in the same way. Hence, this resource.
But wait! There’s more!
Do you want to study the Bible in a way that is accessible to multiple learning styles, time commitment levels, and interest levels?
The idea for this style of Bible study plan is that people with different amounts of time and interest can come and learn together.
Choose a book of the Bible to study together. You will read 1 chapter a week. Homework is optional and caters to people of varying amounts of available time and interest. When you come together to meet, read the chapter out loud together. Then, have a discussion using some questions about the facts, some about the lessons / main truths, and some about how to respond / apply the passage.
Homework options:
- Do nothing ahead of time. Show up and participate in the reading / discussion.
- Read the chapter ahead of time at least 1 time. Show up and participate in the reading / discussion.
- Complete one of the all-in-one or creative options. Show up and participate in the reading / discussion.
- Complete the Bible Study Choice Board question sections partially or fully. Show up and participate in the reading / discussion.
I have not gotten to study the Bible this way with a group yet, but I hope to soon!
